The MOMS Club was started in the fall of 1983 by our founder Mary B. James.  The first local chapter was in Simi Valley, California.  Word spread about the wonderful support that the MOMS Club offers at-home mothers, and we became a national organization in 1985 and in international one in 1996.  Now we have over 2,000 local chapters with 100,000 members in the US alone - and more chapters are starting every month both in the US and internationally!

Our Chapter

The MOMS Club Corona Southwest chapter was founded in May of 2002 and we are now over 51 moms and 105 children strong!  We participate in many activities including Park Days, Playgroups, Craft Days, General Meetings, Field Trips, MOMS Night Out and Family Nights.  We are also very active in our community and help local charities, primarily benefiting mothers and children, through many different service projects.

The MOMS Club International sets every chapters boundaries.  This is done so each chapter can be as successful as the next.  If you are not located within our boundaries, contact MOMS Club International to find the chapter in your area.

Our Chapter Boundaries

Our chapter's boundaries are all of zip code 92882 and within zip code 92881 everything South of Ontario.

Purpose

For the past 40 years, mothers have been told that the only path worth following is to return to work as soon as possible after the birth of their children.  We say that's ridiculous!  If returning to work is a mother's ambition, then fine, but many - indeed, studies have shown that most mothers would rather stay home and care for their own children.  We believe that all mothers should choose for themselves the path that is right for them. 

We do have many moms with at-home businesses or part-time jobs which allow them to be home during the daytime hours to care for their children. 

Principals

• Women are free to choose their personal path to fulfillment.
• For women who choose it, raising children is an important and fulfilling full-time job.
• A family's decision for a mother to stay-at-home to raise the children often involves considerable financial sacrifice.
• That there is no one right way to raise children and no one is judged on their particular style.

Goals

• To provide a support group for mothers who choose to stay at home to raise their children.
• To provide a forum for topics of interest to mothers.
• To help children in the community.
• To perform at least one service project annually benefiting children and/or mothers.

It is our goal that the mothers of the future will have a true choice when deciding how they want to live.  That whether they choose to leave home for work or whether they choose to stay home to raise their children themselves, they will receive all the respect and support they deserve!
